In 2012; i met a gorgeous lady by the name of Bridget. Bridget had contacted me in regards to booking for her engagement/wedding photography. We first met at the trendy Moore & Moore cafe in Fremantle where Bridget had decided to have her Engagement shoot with her quirky partner in crime, Tom. I would say we instantly hit it off! Bridget was organised, relaxed and had some wonderful ideas in mind in regards to how she envisioned her wedding and i knew instantly Bridget was the bride of my dreams LOL. She loved the finer details and all things vintage and different! At this point i learnt this stunning lady had a hidden talent up her sleeve- she was a boutique bloom stylist specialising in fresh and preserved flowers (that’s right preserved!!!). My heart skipped a beat. Although i have no idea at all in regards to flowers; i have a secret obsession with them- i would have my house completely full of fresh blooms if i could….so i stalked her on facebook (LOL) to find her company Poppy & Willow; a boutique floral business….and this is where our friendship began…..
I was so utterly excited and thrilled when Bridget asked me to do a styled shoot showcasing her absolutely AMAZING talents for all things bloom related. From gorgeous bouquets, to floral styling to flower crowns; her creations are absolutely superb! The attention to detail and the passion with which Bridget constructs each individual piece is just mesmerising; hence her being one of my favourite floral vendors! We met at a private property in Pinjarra for the shoot which i thought would be perfect to bring Bridget’s shoot to life (at this point i must thank Sandie Mallon from Sandie Mallon Photography for allowing us on her property and for also joining the shoot). With the late afternoon sun and the open field it was everything i could have imagined; beautiful models (thanks Em, Mona and Caroline), beautiful blooms, beautiful light and beautiful scenery.
So Bridget; i hope this shoot is everything you imagined and more! Your work is simply devine!
You too can stalk Poppy & Willow (like i do) here .
The beautiful/handsome faces behind Poppy & Willow; Tom you can’t take any credit for floral styling but i can vouch for your hard work in helping Bridget put these glorious set-ups together :O)
