Well, i have finally got around to writing this post after a busy month. It may be nearly a month late, none-the-less i have done it!
This year i had the pleasure of being involved in the April in Paris event, organised by Belinda Cipriano, supporting Breast Cancer Care WA. After a family member was diagnosed, Belinda and her sister-in-law, Daniella decided to organise a benefit to raise money to a cause that was vey dear to their heart. When i was asked to participate; i didn’t hesitate in putting my hand up. Having had both my grandmothers pass with breast cancer, and my mother in law recently diagnosed i saw it fitting that i be involved. For those of you who may not know, aside from my photography, i have a degree in radiography (which i still practice) where i have lost count of the amount of mammograms i have done over the years, where i have seen many a woman go through the emotional and physical challenge of dealing with being diagnosed.
The night toasted all those women and men who have been through or have known someone who has had breast cancer with all proceeds from the silent auctions and the sale of raffle tickets given to Breast Cancer Care WA which was founded by Ros Worthington, who herself had overcome Breast Cancer in her 30s. Hosted by Ebbeny Faranda and entertainment provided by Nikki D’Agostino, guests dined on beautiful food at the Rydges, and sipped on Angove Estate wine before diving into a sumptuous dessert buffet provided by Emily Galante from Amani Candy Couture.
It was wonderful to be able to contribute to a great and successful night!
